In-person presentation
Each presenter is allocated a slot of 20 minutes for the presentation. If a presenter wants to allow questions but no discussion time is planned for the session, then the presenter should allocate for questions about 5 minutes out of the 20 minutes slot allocated to him.

Session secretaries will be assigned to each meeting room. Please arrive in the conference room 30 minutes prior to the start of your session. Please bring your USB device to the meeting room and the session secretaries will assist to upload your presentation on the laptop. There will not be an option to use your own device, as the sessions will be recorded.

Audiovisual equipment in meeting rooms:
Windows laptop – installed with Windows 11, Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF reader
LCD projection - 16:9 aspect ratio
Microphone
Audio connection from the laptop

Preparing your presentation:
Make sure your PowerPoint presentation is in 16:9 ratio (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).

Videos must be embedded in PowerPoint.

 

Presentation file types:
In PowerPoint, save your file as a .pptx. Do not use .ppt, .pps, or other formats, as this will affect your file’s ability to open correctly.
The session secretaries will remove all presentations from the laptops after the conference.

Changes in presenting author:

The submitter is considered the presenting author and is responsible for delivering either the oral presentation if the abstract is accepted. In case the presenting author is unable to attend the IAASS Conference, a substitute presenter may take the presenting author’s place. The new presenter must be listed as co-author on the abstract and must be registered for the Conference.

E-poster presentation

The e-Poster presentation format allows presenters to share their work through a pre-recorded presentation of their slides, accompanied by the presenter’s own recorded narration. In other words, you will record yourself presenting your PowerPoint slides, and participants will watch the recording online. This is not a traditional poster presentation, where attendees view a poster and discuss it in person.

Each presentation will be made available on the conference platform, enabling participants to watch the content at their convenience throughout the event.

Presentation Guidelines

• Please upload your paper and recorded presentation via the Conference Online system no later than 6 October.

• Presentations must be submitted as an MP4 video file and should not exceed 20 minutes in length.
